Sea the world

San Diego wouldn't have been complete without a trip to Sea World. I am glad we went, but it was soooo crowded. It was fun to be around family, but hard for our little one to sit through the animal shows.

Had a great time on our trip. We got to see a lot of fun animals, and keep our little animal entertained.

Beautiful Beach

La Jolla beach was just beautiful. I think this was the first time we have taken Leila to the beach and she was loving the sand and water on her feet.

She didn't want to leave and took off running back towards the water. What a great trip!

We belong in the Zoo

We escaped the heat this past weekend and drove to San Diego. We had a great trip and got to visit the zoo, sea world, and the beach. It was nice to step outside and be able to breathe. Thanks to Auntie Alison, (our experieced zoo tour guide) we got in free to the zoo and splurged on lunch and ice cream. Our monkey had a blast running at the zoo. Clearly her favorite was the Elephants, but we enjoyed the monkey's, giraffes, lions, flamingos, and hippos.

I think this elephant was smiling for the camera. Such a fun day! We then went for a swim in the hotel pool. I wish it wasn't a 6 hour drive because I'd go back tomorrow!

Our Firecracker!

What a difference a year makes! I love looking back on pictures over the last year. How did our baby get to be so old? We had a great 4th of July weekend. It was rather warm here reaching 122 so we managed to stay cool indoors. I don't have any boating pictures because I probably would have melted in this heat. I think I was outside maybe a total of 2 hours. This time of year is rough, especially with a toddler that is active, and wants to be outdoors. We love our little sparkler.

Leila's Little Voice

Untitled from Lisa Pakes on Vimeo.

Tea Anyone?

She is becoming such a little girl. She plays tea, and walks in my heels around the house saying, "Bye, going work." Love this little monkey!

Getting HOT HOT HOT!

When you don't have a pool, and it's 100 degrees out, this is one way to keep cool. Even if she isn't playing with the ball, I find myself turning it on as a mister for my patio. Sometimes I even find myself floating in the blow up pool. Whatever works!
