6 Months Already? Where has time gone?

Leila has been keeping us very busy these days. She is such a fun baby, and always greets you with a big smile, even when she should be napping. We took a quick trip to Santa Barbara this past weekend to visit Adam's sister, bro in law and family. We had our teeth checked by the greatest dentist ever, Dr. Jon. The trip took us 6 1/2 hours, and Leila did great in the car. She slept most of the way there and back and played in her car seat. She's come along way from her car crying days. It makes traveling enjoyable!

She is 6 months today and growing so fast. She is always rolling over to get to her destination, and loves playing on her tummy. She has started to independently sit up this week and when she gets excited she'll topple over and laugh. She still loves breastfeeding and isn't too sure about other the tastes and textures of new foods. She makes a face as if we are feeding her poop! We'll keep trying but she's not a huge fan. We are trying to transition her to her crib at night and it's a bit of a challenge. She takes naps in her crib during the day but is in her little hammock bed in our room at night. I know she'll go back to sleeping through the night once she get used to her new bed. I pray it's sooner rather than later. The weather has been beautiful lately so it's been nice to take walks down by the water.


We really enjoyed a visit from Grandma Linda. She was a big help with Leila.
